Good value for green energy

I was looking for a new energy supplier that offered renewable options without breaking the bank. So Energy's fixed rate energy plan caught my eye. The initial switch incentive was a nice bonus, and it felt like a really good deal overall for getting 100% renewable electricity. Definitely worth checking out if you're budget-conscious but still want green power.

Smooth switch, clear billing

I moved my dual fuel tariff to So Energy last month after doing some research. The online quote process was straightforward, and switching took about 15 days, which they had communicated upfront. I also opted for a smart meter installation, and the engineer was very professional and efficient. My first bill was easy to understand, showing the 100% renewable electricity and green gas usage clearly. I haven't needed customer support yet, but so far, the service and clarity have been excellent. It's good to know exactly what I'm paying for and that it's green.

Decent service, minor hiccup

Overall, my experience switching to So Energy for my electricity and gas was positive. The fixed rate energy plan felt competitive, and I appreciate the commitment to 100% renewable electricity. The sign-up was mostly smooth, though there was a slight delay getting my first online account access set up. It took a couple of emails to resolve. Once that was sorted, everything else, like submitting meter readings and viewing my usage, has been really easy. Good value, but account access could have been quicker.

hey, trying to figure out the best energy supplier. So Energy any good for a new apartment in London? Heard some mixed things about smaller companies.

Yeah, I'm with them in Manchester. They're pretty solid, all renewable stuff which is nice. Switching was super easy, took maybe two weeks for everything to go through. Prices seem competitive.

I think they're decent! Used them when I lived in Brighton. Their customer service is responsive, which was a big plus for me compared to some of the bigger guys. Definitely get a quote to see their rates for your area though.

thinking of switching to So Energy. Do they actually do the £40-£50 credit thing if someone refers you? Or is that just a marketing gimmick?

It's real! My friend referred me last year and we both got 50 quid off our bills after my first payment. It's not a discount code though, you gotta use a referral link.

Can confirm, I referred my brother and we both got the credit. It automatically applies to your account, so you don't really have to do anything extra. Just make sure you use the link they give you.
